Spring 2013    LEAVENWORTH, WASHINGTON

Wednesday, April 24 to 26, 2013 [tentative date]. This Mini-Conference and full program with speakers and banquets will be sponsored by the Greater Seattle Chapter at the popular and unique Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth at the Best Western Icicle Inn. This resort has long been a favorite getaway for residents of the Pacific Northwest who enjoy the German character of the village. Known for its scenic views - it is nestled in a valley below the majestic Cascade Mountains in Central Washington at the confluence of the Icicle and Wenatchee Rivers. Outstanding local and nationally-known speakers round out a full program.

Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22, 2013

This business meeting, sponsored by the Big Bend Chapter, includes activities with the annual celebration of Deutchesfest at nearby Odessa, Washington which attracts thousands of visitors and is put on by volunteer descendants of the German-Russians who settled in the area at the beginning of the 20th Century. These industrious immigrants transformed the then desolate Odessa area into one of the world’s richest grain-growing areas.  Odessa has made a name for itself by taking pride in its German Heritage. Enjoy the parade, beer hall, food booths with krautrunza and kűchen.
