Ancestral Village File Inventory
The Village File is a useful resource for learning more about the German villages in Russia. The Village File is a collection of information on individual or specific villages and areas in which Germans settled, containing files organized by village and/or area. These files contain various pieces of information that have been gathered by AHSGR staff, members, village coordinators, and other individuals for a number of years.
The Village File Inventory is a list of all items contained in each file. Unless otherwise indicated, items in each file may be copied for patrons. To request copies of items from this file, please indicate specifically the item(s) in which you are interested by noting the item(s) as listed in the Inventory in your request.
Many village files indicate village newsletters that have been published by Village Coordinators. These newsletters are continuously cataloged into AHSGR's library collection.
Village Coordinator Reports from current Village Coordinators describing research for the past year and future goals for the years 1998 and forward are on file.
For information on charges for reference services and materials, please refer to our Research Request Form.
