Our Chapter's Purpose

The purpose of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia is to bring together people interested in the history of Germans from Russia. Through a better understanding of Germans from Russia, we will promote a better appreciation of their history and the preservation of their culture through their descendants.

Local Dues are $10.00 U.S. per year.

National Dues are $50.00 U.S. per year.

Calendar of Events

Our meetings are held in May, July, September and November, others will be announced.

In September we have a REAL German dinner for our members.

Genealogy

Ruthie Galitz reports that there are 4 members with the PAF software. Ruthie has all the members families and all of hers in a data bank with over 16,000 names. Some of the surnames are Klein, Amen,Wagner,Walker,Wacker, Hofferber, Horst, Lebsack, Gettman, Kissler, Ditter and many more. She would like to here from anyone with these names.

We have a very complete library, we have ALL the AHSGR Journals and ALL the Clues and news letters, Many related books in both English and German, Videos and tapes.
