Our AHSGR Chapter's Purpose

The purpose of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia is to bring together people interested in the history of Germans from Russia. Through a better understanding of Germans from Russia, we will promote a better appreciation of their history and the preservation of their culture through their descendants.

Chapter Meetings are at 2:00 PM, Bimonthly, on the second Sunday of the month.

Location: St Josephs Church Basement, 3rd & Van Buren, Topeka, Kansas

Members attending the meeting are asked to bring snacks

Bierock Sales

Our main fund raising event is Bierock Sales, Saturday morning, 8 am -10 am at the Farmers Market in Topeka, from first Saturday in May to Labor Day.

2005 AHSGR Round-up of Kansas Chapters

The Northeastern Kansas Chapter will be hosting the round-up Saturday October 1st.  We will also have a hospitality day Friday September 30^th.

Chapter Library

We have a good collection of German-Russian books, maps, AHSGR Journals and Clues, some census records, videos and other genealogical resource books available to our membership. The Library is usually open at our Chapter meetings. Members may check out and return books at this time.
