SCHLÄGEL / SCHLAEGEL, Hampeter (Johann Peter), b. ca. 1872-1874, Strassendorf, Volga Region. Had sons Salomon and Filge (Philip?), possibly more children.

SCHREINER, Jakob, born prior to 1879 in Bauer, Volga Region. His wife had one glass eye. AHSGR has photo of wedding party of one of their children.

DIETRICH family from Seelmann.

HAAG, Joseph, from Seelmann.

ROHR, Adolf, from Mariental, Volga Region. His father had also gone to Canada but returned to Russia.

SCHMICK / SCHMÜCK / SCHMUCK family from Yagodnaya Polyana. Names may be Johann Friedrich and wife Maria WEISMÜLLER / WEISMUELLER and children Bertha, born 1902, Herman (b. 27 December 1906) or may have been related to people with these names. Natalia Schmuck, left in Russia, was born 18 September 1904.

LIEBRECHT, Amalia, daughter of Christian and Ambet, from Alexander-Höh. In the 1920s she worked in the ARA soup kitchen, where she met her husband, and they immigrated to USA.

HAUER, Katharina, from Baden, Odessa, married Alexander LELL from Samara Province, Volga Region. Children: Franz, Emilie, Peter, Natalia.

KOCH, daughters of Olga Koch (married name unknown), granddaughters of Gottlieb Koch. Probably from Volga Region.

DIETRICH, Emmanuel, Alexander, and Elisabeth. Left Balzer for Nebraska about 1906-1908.

NIEDENTAL, Friedrich, son of Heinrich, and his wife Marie, nee LOREI. From Kutter, Volga Region, to Bison, KS.

BAER / BER, George, son of George. Born about 1930, came to US during WW II. Lived in Philadelphia, PA. Cousin lives in Latvia.

WERTH, Paul, son of Peter, from Schönchen, Volga Region. May have lived in Chicago. Was in prison in Japan until 1911. Traveled to US with cousin Joseph Werth and his wife Regina.

MOHRLANG, brothers of Friedrich born 1876 in Blumental near Rostow.

ÜBE / UEBE or IBE, son of Gottfried, from Alt-Urbach, Volga Region. Came with wife and two children.

MARTIN, Jacob and Andrei (Heinrich?) left Franzosen, Volga Region, to come to America in 1909. Jakob returned to Russia 1912. Family nickname "Trushka."

MÜLLER / MUELLER, Alexander, son of George, from Neu-Beideck, Volga Region, with wife Katharina and daughters Amalia and Elisabeth. The family lived in Denver, CO.

SCHÄFER / SCHAEFER, Augusta, born in Kamenka about 1880-1886 came to America with brothers Leo and Alexander. Alexander died early, and Leo returned to Russia. Letters to Russia from Augusta came from Vancouver.

SCHWARTZENBERGER, Barbara, from Elsace, Baden, married to Mathais HÖPFNER. Had children Regina, Johannes, Florian, Barbara, Katharina, Anne Marie, and Franz Josef (born 1920).

FINK, Heinrich, from Hussenbach, Volga Region.

DILL, Ignatz and Nikolaus, from Semenovka, Volga Region. Two younger brothers, Johannes and Jacob, remained in Russia.

ARNOLD, Karl and Anna Elisabeth, nee ARNOLD, from Rosenheim. Emigrated with sons Johannes and Alexander, one of whom died shortly after arriving in America. Two more sons and four daughters were born in America.

MERDIAN, Johannes, born Jarmi, Odessa, about 1890, with wife Mina, and children Alexander (born about 1924) and two daughters. Went to Canada about 1927.

BECKEL, George, Ludwig, and Peter, sons of George, from Krontal, Crimea.

MARTIN, Heinrich, son of Heinrich, and wife Anna BEHM. Had children David, Heinrich, Paulina, Paul, Gotthold, and Alexander, from Rosenberg, Volga Region. Lived in Scottsbluff, NE, but may have moved to Portland.

ROSS, Wilber (?), son of Peter, from Kleinliebental, Odessa. Sent letter from Canada in 1928.

LIND, Johannes, son of Jacob, from Dönhof, Volga Region.

WIEDEMAN, married to Heinrich GOMER, from Dönhof / Doenhof, Volga Region.

WALTER, Ernst and Leo, from Eigenfeld, South Russia.

RUDI, Elisabeth, and husband George POPP, from Pobochnoye. Had daughters Olinda, Lea, and Rachel.

RUSCH, Heinrich, son of Philip and Regina, from Enders, Volga Region. Had three children: Heinrich, Emma, and another boy.

RISCHE, Philip, son of Johann, from Mariental, Volga Region. Had five sons.

FRANK, Anton, married to Regina GREULICH; Anna married to Franz FISCHER; Wendelin, married to Marianne JUNG; Angelina, married to Josef ROMBS, and Franz, married to Margarethe DITTOR. All children of Michael FRANK and Theresia nee MERDIAN. All born in Selz, Odessa, 1875-1881.

ECKHARDT, Heinrich, son of David, from Brunnental, Volga Region. Had siblings Konrad, Elisabeth, Wilhelm, and Maria. Wilhelm was born in 1892.

WESTOF, Rudolf, from Zabkovka, Zhitomir oblast, Volhynia.

HERGERT, Gottfried and Wilhelm, from Erlenbach, Volga Region, came to America 1910-1911, then returned to Russia 1912-1913. Wilhelm and Gottfried then came back to the U.S.A. Rest of family could not come later because borders were closed. Did Wilhelm and Gottfried start new families in U.S.A.?

FRANK, son of Friedrich, born in Speyer, Odessa. Family included Ottilie, Domenik, Katherine, and Josef.

LIPPERT, Christina, daughter of Heinrich and Friedericka (TESKE) Lippert, born in Neudorf, Odessa. Married to Jakob GINGER/GIENGER and had daughter Maria. Related to Norman Miller formerly of West Fargo, ND. Does anyone have his current address?

ZANG, Hermina, born 1900, and children emigrated from Näb / Naeb, Volga Region, about 1922.

WEICHEL, Josef, son of Katarina, emigrated from Selz, Odessa, to North Dakota about 1924. His wife was from Mannheim, Odessa, and they had seven children, all born in ND.

SCHERLE, Jacob, and wife Mina (Wilhelmina) GEWEILER, both born in Grossliebental, Odessa, came to America after WW II.

HAMMEL, Josef, son of Franz and Rosa, emigrated from Peterstal, Odessa District with wife Fenya. Had sons Victor and Franz. May have moved to Canada.

WIDENMEIER, Eduard, son of Gottfried, emigrated from the Crimea with his family.

WALTER, Elza, and children Ernst, Leo, and Nelli. Husband's name was Wilhelm. Elza may have been in Canada and the children in the U.S. From Eigenfeld, South Russia. Immigrated after 1941.

KELLER, Maria, daughter of George. Married a TOMM. Emigrated from area of Kharkov, Ukraine, to Canada in 1928.

BERNHARDT, Gottfried, son of Jakob, and his wife Marika (Maria Katharina), daughter of Heinrich TREHNER from Volga Region to Buenos Aires, Argentina, with children Daniel, Benjamin, Robert, Marta, and Alvina.

PABST, Alexander, from Rosental, Volga Region, came to U.S.A as single man.
