Josef LEHLI, emigrated from Baden with parents, Johannes LEHLI and Marianna JUND. Johannes died on ship enroute to Canada. AHSGR has photo taken in 1926.

ADartel@ SCHAMBERGER, daughter of Peter and Eleonore Schamberger, from Hildmann. Her husband's nickname or surname was STROFEL. One child, Peter, was born 1907.

Joseph GLASSNER, son of Joseph Petrovich and Josephina, nee WILLGANG (?). From Reichenfeld (Kostheim), Zaporozhye, South Russia. He came to the U.S. after WW II according to his siblings, Joseph and Rosa, who are still alive.

Wilhelm LIND came to America from Dönhof / Doenhof with his son Jacob and brother Johannes. He had to leave his wife Elisabeth and children in Russia, and they were never able to join him. He is being sought by his daughter Amalia. AHSGR has photo of the Wilhelm, his son Jacob, and his brother Johannes which says AGebr. Lind@ (Lind brothers) and was taken in 1932.

Christian Adam SCHNEIDER, son of Adam, born in Stahl am Tarlyk in 1871.

Jacob SCHMALL, born in Stahl am Tarlyk in 1862.

PEIL siblings: Friedrich, Alexander, Natalia, Amalia, Paulina, from Messer. May have gone to Canada, possibly Winnipeg.

August and Samuel FRITZLER, sons of Friedrich. Went to Canada.

FRIBUS sisters from Rosenheim, Volga, daughters of Christian. One may have married an EHLERT.

Two NILMEIER brothers, sons of George. One may have been Phillip. Left brother Heinrich in Stahl am Tarlyk.

Daughters of William SCHWARTZKOPF and Maria Katherine LIND: Elizabeth (born 1882), Anna Elizabeth (1886), Eva Elizabeth (1890). Married names unknown.

Emma RIFFEL, born 1923 in Pallasovka, Volga, was an interpreter for the German Army near Stalingrad during WWII. Did she successfully retreat back to Germany with the army and then come to America?

Madeus (Mathew?) HEHLMEHL from Peremenovka, Kazakstan, went to Germany in 1941. In 1948-49 he went to America. He had a daughter, Cecilia, born 1951-52. Being sought by son now in Germany.

Four SCHLESSLER / SCHOESSLER brothers, sons of Heinrich, all emigrated from Walter at various times: Wilhelm, George, Jacob, and Adam.

HIRSCH sisters, daughters of Gregory, emigrated from Mariental, Odessa. Their sister Genoveva was unable to emigrate due to illness. She later married Andrei (Heinrich) BECK, and they founded the village Blumenfeld in Kazakstan.

Wanda HERBST, married name unknown, daughter of Robert and Amalia Herbst. From Michailovka, Ukraine.

Emilia and Wanda GRAUMANN, daughters of Julius. At one time Wanda lived in Fresno, CA (3534 East Mono). Wanda had no children, but her sister Emilia did. AHSGR has photo.

David FREIMANN, wife Sophia, and five children. The oldest child was killed by a street car. David was the son of Phillip and Anna. They were from Katharinenstadt and lived in Chicago.

` Eduard and Ida SCHMIDT, from Marianovka, Volhynia. Their daughter Esther was a dentist in Portland, OR. AHSGR has a photo.

Friedrich Georg HAFFNER, from Oberdorf, went to South America.

Johannes NAGEL, born 1894, from Norka.

Wilhelm HUWA, his wife Pauline, and daughter Marta, who married Heinrich MOHR. They lived in British Columbia. AHSGR has photos.

Theodor TRAUTMANN, who last lived in Columbus, Ohio.

TRUPP families from Volga region.

Eugene BAIER born in Kamenka in 1918. In Red Army 1940, POW in Germany, left Germany for USA in 1958. He lived at 1852 W. Morse Ave. in Chicago. May have moved to southern California.

Anna SCHWAB, daughter of Jacob, born in Hussenbach in 1886. Married and divorced a Propp. Son Jacob Propp born in 1904. Anna came to uncle Jacob FUCHS and remarried in America.

Aleägret [Margret?], daughter of Georg KEIB came to America with husband SCHNEIDER and children: Alexander, Mari, Mili, and Victor. She was born in Hussenbach about 1877.

Jacob PROPP and wife, nee SCHWAB, went from Hussenbach to Blumental, Siberia. Left there in 1912 for America. Left two daughters in Siberia. AHSGR has photo. Last letter received in Russia was from Portland, OR.

Johanna LUCHT and husband Rudolf BONN/BOUN, born Yekaterinoslav 1877-78, went to Germany with children 1912-1914. AHSGR has photos.

Christian & Julia SCHWEIGERT fron Neu-Schwed went to Chicago.

Carl and/or Heinrich LIEDER born in Rosendamm 1877, confirmed in Boaro in 1894, may have gone from Neu-Schwed to Chicago, leaving son Alexander in Russia.

Maria Elisabeth RICHTER, nee SCHULTZ, came to America with husband Leopold HEINRICH.

Jacob, Peter, and Alexander EHRLICH left Grimm for Chicago 1913/1914 together with the sons of their older brother Friedrich, Friedrich and Jacob. Friedrich died in Chicago, and Jacob returned to Russia. Alexander had children Herlein (Karoline?) and Victor. AHSGR has obituary for Alexander EHRLICH, married to Elisabeth ALBRANDT, who died in Gering, NE. He was survived by brothers Peter and Jacob.

IMHERR families from Köhler / Koehler.

Heinrich LEHMANN from Schilling was in Russian Army, then a POW in Germany, and is said to have immigrated to America.

Jakob SALWASSER from Schilling served in Russian Army, became a POW. Did he come to U.S.A.? Sought by brother.

Alexander HOFMAN from Schilling was in the Russian Army, became a POW in 1941, and is said to have immigrated to America.

Timmi KRIEGER, daughter of Nikolaus KRIEGER and Helene FEGLER from Norka. Her stepmother was Helena FEUERSTEIN. Timmi came to America with grandparents, Johannes and Helen FEUERSTEIN. She married Konrad GLANTZ, also from Norka, and they had six or seven children. AHSGR has photo.

Margaret HOHNSTEIN, daughter of George, married Adam DERR. Both were from Norka and went to Portland, OR. They had two daughters, Margaret and Katherine. Katherine married Carl Fred PALMER, and they had four sons: Kenneth J., and triplets Rollo F., Richard A., and Robert L.

Gustav NEUMANN from Volhynia was the oldest child. He had siblings Edward, Albert, Marta, and Friedrich. AHSGR has photos.

Gerhard HARMS, son of Gerhard, born 22 July 1915 Waldeck, Don District. May have gone to Canada.

Katarina FRANK, daughter of Michael, married to a JACOBI, from Dönhof / Doenhof.

Conrad, George, and Peter GORR from Yagodnaya Polyana or Nieder-Monjou went to Canada with families after 1909.

Eva MELINGER, husband Heinrich REIFSCHNEIDER, and daughter Rosa were from Kutter. Heinrich was the son of Eduard Reifschneider. Eva was very heavy and supposedly was killled when she fell down the stairs. They may have lived in New York.

Edward, Friedrich (Fritz), and Heinrich MILAS lived in North Dakota. Maybe from Volhynia.

Kaspar WILHELM born 3 January 1893 in Krasnoyar.

Mr. BAUER and family went from Volga Region to Bazine, Kansas. He was a cousin of Eva Bauer JUNG left in Russia.

Rudolf FUNK or FROST born in Hochstadt, Molochna colony 4 October 1926 was separated from the family during the deportation in 1941. He eventually came to California. Sought by sister Rosa.

Melcher NIKOLAS and wife nee LEBHAHN from Elsass.

Wendelin WINGERTER and wife Luna GSCHMOK from Elsass.

Christian BASNER from Reinhardt. May have died in Saginaw, MI.

Julia JÄGER / JAEGER, divorced from Heinrich JÄGER / JAEGER. Possibly from Schwed.

Two daughters of Gottfried EIRICH from Weizenfeld: Dorothea, married Kasper MILLER, and Metinna married Jacob SIMON.

Johannes EISWIRTH, from Klosterdorf, South Russia, went to Canada. Did he die in Canada in 1970?

Theodore SCHÖNMEIER, born in Volga Region 1895, went to Chicago. AHSGR has photos.

Two ADOLF girls from Warenburg, Liese and Amalia. One married an OSTWALD, one a MEDER. Went to Chicago.

Joseph EBEL, son of Johann, had a sister Paulina who married a HAAG.

Jacob BRUCH from Bauer, son of Jacob and Barbara. His mother had also been married to a GEIER.

Konrad ROTÄRMEL / ROTHERMEL was from Saratov. He was a traveling preacher. His children were Klement, Elsa, Gustav, Konrad, Esther, and Johannes.

Dorothea SCHELLER, daughter of Gustav and Johanna. From Michalov, Vinnitsa District.

Heinrich and Maria GILLIG from Erlenbach. In 1920 they went from Canada to Erlenbach and wanted to adopt the young daughter of Alexander and Christina GILLIG. This request was refused.

Adam SHAFRAN / SCHAFFRON from Nikolaev. During WW II he was sent to Poland, where he was conscripted into the German Army. He eventually came to North America and lived in or near Canada.

Siblings of Johann & Fellgen (?) MÜLLER, who remained in Russia, children of Eustis/Gustaf. From Mannheim, Odessa District.

Gottfried and Wilhelm HERGERT from Erlenbach, Volga.

Johann NITSCHKE, son of Adam and brother of Samuel, from Alexanderfeld. Last address in Lodi, CA. AHSGR has photo.

Three sons of Adolf RUSCH from Engels, Volga Region, brothers of Waldemar.

Helene WIENS, daughter of Peter WIENS and Katharina SPERLING. Lived with BOSCHMANN family in USA before moving to Canada where she married Jacob ESAU. Last known address in Chilliwork, B.C., Canada.

Joseph and Barbara WEICHEL from near Odessa. According to AHSGR obituary, Barbara died in Strasburg, ND, in 1971.

Katharina RUDY, daughter of Peter and Katharina RUDY, married Heinrich RUDY. Both from Pobochnoye, Volga Region. According to AHSGR obituaries, they died in Rush County, Kansas.

Theodor PALMTAG from Zaporozhye District, South Russia.

Emil MILLER, son of Julius, from Volhynia.

A ROOT family from either Mariupol or Rostov, South Russia.

Ludwig KLATT, 1888-1950, emigrated from Rudovko, Volhynia, in 1914. Unable to get family out of Russia. Renewed correspondence with wife, Emilia KWIRM Klatt, after WW II, but was again unsuccessful it getting the family out of the Soviet Union.

Gustav KELLER, possibly from Boaro in Volga Region.

Anna ERDLEI/ERDLEY, born in Kazakhstan in 1895, emigrated with six children.

Georg SCHNEIDER, emigrated from Stahl am Tarlyk with his parents, Heinrich SCHNEIDER and Anna KLEINFELDER. Lived in California.

Eugene ELZER and wife Justine. Came to America after WWII.

Johannes WINTERMUT and his brother Heinrich were born in Phillipsfeld. Johannes’ children, Richard and Maria, were born in Boaro, Volga Region.

Pastor Konrad J. WAGNER of Frank, Volga Region, visited his sister, Elisabeth GETTMAN, in Kazakhstan in the 1930s.

Johann and Albinius HERMAN in Canada. Albinius sent a package to Cecilia ZERF as late as 1968.

Clementine NEUFELD, nee BRENDLER or BENDER, went from Germany to Canada in 1942 with her son Alexander and his wife. From Halbstadt.

Frieda SCHULZ married Eugene LAPS in Germany in 1942. They had two children, Anna and Eugene. Sent photos from Elmwood Park, IL, to family in U.S.S.R. AHSGR has photos.

Richard BALZER from Paulskoye.

SCHILLING family from Hoffnungstal, Bessarabia.

Elene (Helene?) HERR fled South Russia in 1940s. Married a GI and came to U.S.A. Being sought by half-sister Lydia.

Christian HEIDELBACH, son of Christian, from Strassburg, Volga Region. May have gone to California.

A BLOCK woman, sister of Peter and Johann, immigrated to Canada. May be co-owner of tobacco factory.

Christian ILTNER from Kronntal, North Caucasus.

George JACOBS from Pfeifer, Volga Region. Last address in Jerome, ID.

Georg and Peter JACOB lived in Topeka, KS, before moving to Argentina. Brother Philip remained in Russia, and brother Michael went to Hays, KS.

Zacharius BRAUNBECK from Katharinental, Odessa District, had sons Zacharius and Lorenz. Last known address in Miles City, MT.

Theodor TRAUTMANN and wife Karolina, nee HOFFMANN. Last known address in Columbus, OH. Being sought by sister.

Franz SCHMIDT from Kandel, Odessa District.

Jacob and sister Anna PENNER, from Orenburg District. Anna married a MILLER. Their brother Peter was a teacher in Leningrad until he was shot by the NKVD. Children of Gerhard.

Johannes KLOTZ from Krasna, Bessarabia. May have lived in British Columbia.

Philip ZENT from Speyer, Odessa District. Emigrated with second wife.

Paul BREIMEIER, born about 1870. Descendants may live in Wisconsin.

Adam WINDEKER / WINDECKER and wife, Anna WERZ, and five children came from Riga before WWII. He had been with a circus in Riga. She was born in a village along the Don River.

David GOTTFRIED and his sister Anna (married name unknown) were single when they came to Chicago from Unterwalden (Meinhard) with their brother Heinrich. Heinrich returned to Russia for his family, but they could not return to America because of the Revolution.

All nobility previously living in the Crimea, including the FALS-FEIN family.

Gottlieb KRÄMER / KRAEMER, son of Christian KRÄMER / KRAEMER and Maria Katarina HERZOG, from Schwed. AHSGR has photo.

Anton SELENSKI, son of Johann, from Kresnoye, Odessa District. Went to North Dakota.

Phillomen DUTTENHÖFER and her brother Franz, from Kandel. Phillomen's married name unknown.

David HERBER, son of Johann, came from Katharinenstadt to U.S. with brother-in-law, Heinrich GÜNTHER.

Alexander TRIPPEL from Warenburg. May have gone to Fresno, CA. AHSGR has an obituary of an Alexander Trippel who died in Fresno, CA, in 1931.

Maria Katharine and sister Anna Elisabeth SINNER from Dreispitz. Maria Katharine married Jacob LEHLER of Grimm and had a daughter Maria. Anna Elisabeth married a Daniel ? and had two children, David and Lidia. This family may have gone to South America.

Alexander SCHMIDT, son of Jacob, also had a son Jacob. From Kutter.

Michail STILL, son of Anton, his wife and six children were from the province of Yekaterinoslav.

Michael and Alfis (?) KAUFMANN were from Brabander. Michael came to U.S., and Alfis came first to the U.S. then went to Canada. Two of his children died aboard ship and were buried at sea. AHSGR has photo of Michael's family.

Ella and Emil WASEMILLER were possibly from Rosenberg (Umet) in Volga Region. They had three daughters. Emma gave music lessons at home. AHSGR has photo of Ella and Emil taken in 1985.

Karl FORST and his son Rudolf were from Volhynia. Karl worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit. Rudolf had one son and one daughter.

Heinrich BITTER, son of Heinrich. Possibly from Volga Region. His brother August and wife Katherine Elisabeth also lived in U.S., where 3 or 4 children were born. August and family returned to Russia in 1913.

Johannes und Wilhelmina HARTMAN from Norka. Their son Johannes, born 1896, was a school teacher as was his wife, Olinda, daughter of David SCHULZ. Johannes had brothers August, Robert, and Joseph.

Children of Gottfried FEIL: David, Georg, Maria, Amalia, all born prior to 1872 in Dreispitz. David may have gone to South America and had two sons and two daughters. Brothers Gottfried and Andreas remained in Russia.

Katherine ADLER, daughter of Wendelin and Mariane, from Kleinliebental. Married Kamilius HÄUSER / HAEUSER and lived in New York. Immigrated in 1945.

Mathilde and Beate ADLER from Kleinliebental went to Canada in the 1920s. They were aunts of Katherine Adler above. Mathilde married and had twelve sons; Beate married and had one daughter. Married names unknown.

Otto GRETZ, son of Ignatz and Marianne. Born Kleinliebental about 1895. Went to Canada after the Revolution.

SCHMAUDER families from Mannsburg, Bessarabia.

Six children of Christian MÜLLER came to America, including Christian, David, and Amalia. The only sibling to remain in Russia was Hanjerg (Johann Georg?). From Strassburg, Volga Region.

Eugen Joseph GLASSNER, born in Reichenfeld (Kostheim), Zaporozhye District in 1924, may have come to America after WWII.

Georg FRICK, son of Friedrich Frick and Katherina Elisbetha PROPP, had five siblings. He also had five children and was a farmer. From Hussenbach.

Johann ALBRECHT emigrated from Glückstal with two sons and one daughter following death of wife after childbirth. The new-born son, Wilhelm, was left in Russia. Johann was unsuccessful in his attempt to bring Wilhelm out of Russia in the late 1920s.

The family of Anna SIMON or SIMONS, born 1860, from the Volga Region went to Chicago. They left their oldest daughter, Anna Simon SCHLEIGER in Russia. AHSGR has photos of Anna and family.

Ewald, David, Efron, Teresa, Ida, and Adina GINTER/HINTER went to Canada with Hergard and Lisa GEMPLAR. Adina married a SCHMALZ, and the last letter from her was from Vancouver, BC. She has since died. All were of the Baptist faith.

Pauline BÄCKER / BECKER / BAECKER, nee SOMMER, from Wittman, Volga Region, the daughter of Johannes SOMMER.

A GLOCK woman from Preuss, Volga Region, married a MINOR. Her mother was Anna Elisabeth KESSLER.

LELL families from Pfeifer, possibly Olga, Konstantine, and George.

Jacob SIMON and his wife Christine BELLER, two daughters and three sons (Friedrich, Johann, and ?) went from Krasnoyar to Chicago approximately 1914.

Augustin, Helena, Josef, and Andreas SILBERNAGEL from Baden, Odessa. Wrote from Bismark, ND.

Amalia STRAUCH and husband ? Had a daughter Martha. From Beideck.

Konrad FROSCHHAUSER and wife, Lydia STRAUCH had two sons, Erwin and Richard. From Beideck. May have lived in Garden City, MI.

Maria Katherine BUSIK from Beideck married Henry HEIMBUCH from Rosental. They had twins, one of whom was Philip.

Alexander HEIMBUCH or HEINBUCH from Lauwe.

Herman MERLING or MERLIN (born 1888) and brother Robert (born 1890) went from Chernigov, Volhynia, to Canada in 1914.

Samuel KUJAHT/KUJAT, son of David Kujaht and Eva, nee DÜCK, from Neu-Arzis, went to Canada and then to Bismark, ND.

Karl SCHMIEDER, son of Gottfried, born 1894 in Galka, went to Argentina. AHSGR has photos.

Three JOST girls came to the U.S. from Norka. It is unknown if they came as single girls or with husbands. One married a FEUERSTEIN, one a WOLF, and one a GLUSTEIN (GLOISTEHN?). Their brother Konrad visited them for several years then returned to Russia.

Elisabeth and Margaret SCHAAB from Semenovka.

Lydia NORD, daughter of Heinrich and Olga Nord, from Volga Region.

Ferdinand, Gustav, and Pauline SCHILLER, children of August SCHILLER and Julia KUNKLER. Ferdinand was a pastor and Gustav a farmer, both lived in Washington. They were from near Dobinski, Volhynia.

Lydia WILL and seven of her children, including Benjamin and Emilie, came to Canada from Kronental, Caucasus, 1902-05, leaving daughter Lydia in Russia, where she married Samuel LANG.

Heinrich PAULS, son of Peter, was born in Friedensruh, Molochna, 1880-1881. Peter Pauls was from Alexandertal.

"Hangerch" (Johann George?) SCHEIDEMANN, son of Heinrich, born in Norka 1882-1883.

Heinrich REGEHR, son of Heinrich and Helena. Had siblings Peter, Johann, and Maria. Was in the German Army and came to Canada after WWII.

Alexander VEIT/FEIT from Brabander, Volga Region. Went to Argentina with family of Alexander BRAUN.

Amalia MERKEL, daughter of Peter Merkel. Probably from Paulskoye, Volga Region.

Karl WEINBERGER from Gnadendorf, Volga Region. Once lived in Dinuba, CA. He left five children: Andrea, Sophia, Emilia, David, and Karl in Russia. In America he had two sons and a daughter.

Elisabeth KINDSVATER married a SCHWARTZKOPF, and her sister Maria married Alexander ACHZIGER from Kolb. The Achziger family returned to Russia. Now their descendants are seeking the related SCHWARTZKOPF family.

BUCHHOLZ families from Tarutino, Bessarabia.

Emma, KAISER, neé SIMON and her son George KAISER; Alma SIMON, neé Pusankevich, and her son Karl Friedrich or Friedrich Karl. This family also known by the name SCHIMANSKI. From Borisov, Belorus.

WEIMER families from Kraft, Volga Region.

FISCHER families from Unterdorf/Meinhard, Volga Region.

Heinrich SCHWARZ from Volhynia, probably Novorovka, near Zhtomir.

Georg MAIER, son of Peter, from Kraft, Volga Region.

Herman FAESSNER from Russian Poland or Polish Volhynia. In Russia the family had the name WOSNJAK/VOZNYAK.

Katherine HULM, married to Konrad ERIK. Her parents were Josef Hulm and Franziska ZAHN. From Selz.

Family of Arthur ZAHN and his wife, Maria Katharina GOSSMANN, who formerly lived in Milwaukee, WI. Children were Leo, Albert, Robert, and Arthur.

FRITZ, first name either Andreas, Heinrich, or Kasper. Had five sons and one daughter, Katya. From Krasnoyar, Volga Region.

Elisabet and Eugenia JESEL from Strassburg, Odessa Region. Eugenia married HECK Elisabet immigrated to Canada first and sent ticket to Eugenie later. AHSGR has photo of Elisabet’s children..

Johannes URBAN, son of Fritz Urban and Katerina SCHMIDT. From Kamenka, Volga Region.

Heinrich ELSäSSER from Balka (Balzer?), Volga Region.

AMENT, Karl and George, sons of George. One born 1879, the other 1882. Emigrated from Rostov area in Don District.

Theodor ZIELKE from Volhynia. Had children Theodor, Olga (married a MARTIN), Daniel, and Else (married a KRUTSCH). Remarried and had four more children in America.
