Seeking family of Gottfried Stechmann, who died in 1981, had an older brother, Johann Stechmann (Stechman?). They lived in the village of Pfeifer, Kanton Kamenka, Saratov District on the Volga. In the early 1900’s Johann Stechmann and his family immigrated to the USA and lived in Chicago until his death in the 1960-1970’s. He had eleven daughters and one son. After his death, correspondence was continued between my aunt, Helena Gerk (born Stechmann) and his daughter, Rose Roskopf, of Chicago at this address: 2129 Southport Avenue, Chicago, IL 606114 USA. My aunt, Helen Gerk (born Stechmann), as well as my mother Hilda Reiser (born Stechmann), and my uncle Weldemar Stechmann (all children of Gottfried Stechmann), have asked me to help in finding their cousins, as well as our other American relatives. We have a family photo of my Uncle Johann Stechmann’s family in America. Perhaps it could be published and possibly acknowledged by one of them.

Seeking relatives of Family Name: Stechmann. Given Name: Johanes. Father: Peter Stechmann. Mother: Margret. Siblings: Gottfried, Christine, Engelhard, Jorch, Josep. Date Born: 188_? Wife’s Name: Susan. Children: Rose Rosikopf, Virginia, Margret, Susan, Irene, Lillian, Albert, Katherine, Amelia, Barbara, Ann, and Mary. Date emigrated: 1900-1917(?). He had eleven daughters and one son, Albert. We know the family name of one daughter, Rosa Roskopf. We have a photo of the entire family, which could possibly be published. The person being sought is my grandfather’s brother. (Note: Photographs not sent /translators note: The term "uncle" (onkel) used by the writer, refers to his grandfather’s brother-not his father’s brother)

Looking for relatives with the names of Glaser, Gersh, Ruzen, Abrams, Fishman, and Synder. My grandparent’s names were Samuel and Mary Glaser. Grandma Mary’s maiden name was Gruzen. My great-great-parents names were Bessie and Freeman Gruzen. Samuel and Mary Glaser came from Riga, Latvia, with my mother Devorah (Dorothy) and one son, David. Their ship stopped in Japan for supplies, where my Aunt Rose was born. She was two weeks old when she came to the United States. They came through Seattle, Washington, moving on to Southern Massachusetts, and finally settling in Roxbury in 1919. Grandpa Samuel and Grandma Mary had five children. Devorah (Dorothy) and David were born in Riga, Latvia. Their daughter Rose was born in Japan, and Ida and Max were born in the United States. Grandma Mary had three sisters: Leah (Gruzen) Snyder, Amy (Gruzen) Fishmank, and Toby (Gruzen) Abrams.

Seeking relatives. My parents are Jegor Wagner, born 1892, and Maria Wagner (nee Rudie), born 1894. Between 1912-1914 my parents and his two brothers, Konrad Wagner and Phillip Wagner left Russia for Germany to board a ship for American. My mother became ill shortly before the voyage. Both had to return to Russia. The two brothers of my fathers, Konrad Wagner and Phillip Wagner (then about 22-24 years old) did leave by ship for America. We don’t know if they were in the USA proper or Canada.

Seeking cousins Karl Fritzler and Eduart (Edward) Fritzler. The last she knew they lived around the city of Chicago. She would like to make contact her cousins or their grandchildren. Karl and Eduward’s parents are Eva (Schott) and Karl Fritzler. Eva’s sister is Anna Major (Schott) and Lydia Root’s mother.

I want to contact Alois and Rosalie, Pauline Schultz’s offspring from Novorossiysk. Also looking for information about Adolph, Denis, Mihra, Antoni, and Eugeni, as well as information about the children of Vladimir Anapolsky and Eugeni Sapagina (circa 1960s Moscow.

Searching for the children of aunt on mother’s side. Research on the family of Marlies* (or Marie Luise) Kister-Hügel / Hill, born in 1886? in Brunnental. She had (2) sisters: Katrina Margaretha Kister Groth and Maria Kister Wirtenbverge. Their parents were Jorg and Mararetha Kister. Katrina Groth’s daughter is Emilie Groth Klippert, born in 1913 in Brunnental. Marie Luise Hügel immigrated to America in the early 1900s. *Translators note: The Germans commonly shortened double names in those years as the case is in this record. Hügel means "Hill" in English.

Seeking Konrad Klippert, son of Heinrich (Henry) moved from Walter to Lincoln, Nebraska, with his wife and four sisters. One sister (is) named Anna Katharine Hügel, and the other (is) named Elisabeth Margared (Lisgret). AHSGR has photographs. My aunt, Katrina Klippert, is 93 years old. She said that Konrad Klippert is definitely the brother of her/their grandfather who immigrated to America.

Seeking ancestors on mother’s side and looking for information on an Amalia Fritzler born 13 July 1900 in Wiesenmüller and died 20 May 1959 in Kemerowo. He would also like to purchase the following census for these villages if someone has them:  Stephan 1816, 1834, and 1857; Schwab 1783, 1816, and 1834; Boaro 1816.

Searching for Anna Brown (Braun) from Helsel Saratov. Parents are Heinrich and Maggi. She immigrated to the United States or Canada in 1921, probably Canada.

Seeking ancestors with the last name Laube. Home: Stahl, Kanton Kukkus, area Saratov. First Names: Konrad and Heinrich. Father Konrad Laube, Mother ? born around 1890. Children: Konrad Laube had no children, as far as we know. In Heinrich’s case the name Erma Eckstein is connected to him (daughter?). Immigrated: around 1920. They lived in Colorado, Chicago and Canada. Konrad Laube, uncle of my mother, Marie Elisabet Lehmann (nee Laube) found us after the Second WW in Siberia.

Seeking Justina Bolz (born between 1886-1896). She left with her family Isaaak (he is from from Glubokaj, Rostow, Russia), and moved to Canada or the United States in 1917. She lost contact with her in 1937.

Seeking uncle Georg-Peter Jakob or his children. His last known address was 313 East Ave. D, Rome, ID, USA. Family Information: Ana Hellwig (Jakob) was born 24 October 1928 in Pfeifer, Kamenka, Saratov. Brother Michael born 23 November 1926 also in Pfeifer. Parents are Elisabeth, nee Jakob, and Michael Jakob (married 1920). Grandparents: Johannes-Peter Jakob and Barbara (Schoenfield) Jakob. Children: George, Peter, Barbara, Elisabeth (her mother) and Anna. Paternal Great-Grandmother: Katerina Jakob. Johannes-Peter and Barbara Jakob made two trips to America. Elizabeth and Anna were born in America. The second time they moved back to Russia they left their son Georg Peter in America. Georg-Peter had three children Georg, Vinzenz, and Barbara.

Resubmitting request to find any relatives in America. Grandfather, Joseph Imherr immigrated to Colorado.

Searching for family connections in the United States, Russia and Germany. Born in Kazakhstan, USSR in 1953 Parents Nikodemus Wanner and Rosa Wanner (Jahner) were born in the Odessa area in Landau. Grandfather, Micael Wanner was born 7 July 1874 in Speier, Odessa, Ukraine and his uncles emigrated to the USA and Canada at the beginning of this century. He had 19 children.

Grandfather’s great-grandfather, Jakob Wanner emigrated from the Rhineland Palatinate to the southern Ukraine, Beresan District, the village of Landau in 1809, and he was one of the founders of this place. According to C. Keller, he was the second mayor of Landau. Mother, Rosa Jahner was born in 1916 in Landau, OD. Her father, Jakob Jahner was born in 1874 in Landau. Grandfather Peter Jahner was born in Landau in 1836. His father Jakob was born in Jockgrim, Pfalz, Germany, and his father Jakob came from Hayna, Pfalz. The Jahners from Kandel, Odessa, and the Jahners from Kassel, Odessa, are the ones of interest.

Seeking relatives on grandmother’s line. Her name is Kornatovskaya Vitsentina Josephovna. Her brothers are Kornatovskiy Lyudvig Josephovich, Kornatovskiy Nickolai Josephovich and Kornatovskiy Vladislav Josephovich. They are Berezdov village, Berezdovskiy district, Kamenets- Podolskaya region (oblast) at present Berezdov village, Slavutskiy district, Hmelnitskaya region (oblast) born. They emigrated from the USSR (Ukraine) to the USA (at first in Detroit, then in New York City) in about 1915. In late 1950s or early 1960s Ludwig and Nickolai looked for their sister Vitsentina, who lived that time in Karaganda city, Kazakhstan. Enclose a photo of Kornatovskiy Ludwig Josephovick.
