Purpose
The
purpose
of
the
American
Historical
Society
of
Germans
from
Russia
is
to
bring
together
people
interested
in
the
history
of
Germans
from
Russia.
Through
a
better
understanding
of
Germans
from
Russia,
we
will
promote
a
better
appreciation
of
their
history
and
the
preservation
of
their
culture
through
their
descendants.

meet
on
the
third
Saturday
of
each
month
at
1:00
PM
from
September
through
May
(9
months)
A
typical
meeting
will
consist
of
a
Business
Session,
Group
Singing,
Light
Refreshments
and
a
Program.
At
the
September
meeting
we
will
always
have
a
potluck
luncheon.
In
December
we
have
a
Christmas
Social
and
in
May
we
celebrate
our
anniversary
with
a
Dinner
(usually
at
a
restaurant).
Recently
we
have
been
having
a
Bake
Sale
at
most
meetings
as
a
fundraiser.
