Welcome To our Story

North Texas Chapter Germans from Russia

NTCGFR is a AHSGR and GRHS Dual Chapter

Our Chapter, formed in 2019 reaching out to those Germans from Russia who live in the Texas area. Chapter members today represent ancestral connections to the major German-Russian settlements in the Volga and Black Sea areas. Through the chapter membership we come together in good fellowship at our chapter meetings to learn and share our family’s unique heritage.
The North Texas Chapter of Germans from Russia is an organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the Germans from Russia Heritage. The Germans from Russia are a unique people who emigrated to South Russia and then to the United States, South America, and Canada in the latter part of the 19th Century.  This group of people maintained their German Heritage through the 100+ years, from the time they left their germanic sovereign states to Russia and on through the present day.  Their unique history, culture, and customs were brought with them as they settled and expanded in areas from Texas to North Dakota in the United States and also immigrated to South America, Saskatchewan, and Alberta in Canada.  More information is available through the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia (AHSGR) and the Germans from Russia Heritage Society (GRHS).

Be Passionate about Your Heritage! It's Important.
