Banquet Speaker Brent Mai: Back to the Future: Why Looking Back is So Critical to the Future

 

Dr. Brent Mai currently serves as Dean of Libraries at Wichita State University in Kansas. He has over 30 years of experience leading libraries including those at Wichita State, the University of North Florida, Fairfield University, Concordia University in Portland, Vanderbilt University, and Purdue University. Since 2016, he has served as the director of the Volga German Institute through which he shares his research on the socio-economic movement patterns of the Volga Germans. Dr. Mai has published several books and articles on the history and culture of the Volga Germans, many of which were published by AHSGR.
